One of the inevitable needs of humans is handphones, or what we know as mobile phones. However, there are some tasks that mobile phones cannot carry out. Computers can readily cope with them, however. To make a stand on both sides, I have made lists comparing the two.
Screen difference is never to question. Even at first look, we can notice the big difference. We use phones for mobility needs. To become handy, preference for a smaller screen is a must. However, the benefit of larger, giant screens is for those with eyesight problems. And for those needing to work with a lot of opened browsers.
A bigger screen allows for greater visualization of the browser and makes it easier to open other programs. Mobile phones and computers vary with the size of the screen and their screen resolution. There are handy phones that offer better resolution than some computers. It is the brands of each device that will make some changes.
Mobile phones are handy, and we can use them anywhere and anytime-. On the contrary, computers need a space for work– desktop computers might also need office monster ergonomic desks for concealing cables and peripherals. Basically, computers cannot work without an electrical current to charge the batteries to boost their power. Mobile phones are not just handy but considered somewhat of a basic need.
A mobile phone can entertain while, for example, waiting for a bus or in traffic. They allow faster communication. Computers offer the same purpose, but it will take time to set up. In this matter, this characteristic is the reason some prefer to buy smartphones rather than computers.
As stated in the above text, computers do not have built-in batteries and need electrical current to function. However, innovations in design have allowed mobile phones to have long battery lives. Stable electricity power supplies on computers, on the other hand, make them work faster and efficiently. It is just that computers produce heat above their service. This explains their bulkiness and necessity to allow space for an internal fan to keep them cool.
Transfer of files
CPUs or central processing units have USB ports for transferring files. Computers can transfer files through wired connections like ethernet, DVD-ROM, or USB ports and wirelessly like Bluetooth. One advancement in mobile phones is using a USB port that can be placed on a charging pin. However, the USB port sometimes does not work with other brands of smartphones. Still, some preferred to use Bluetooth in transferring files from phones.
The resolution of the video we are watching, and the images we see on our screen, affect the bandwidth used by our devices. The speed of our internet determines bandwidth. Since computers have more prominent processors and updated versions, they are likely to have lesser bandwidth time. Unlike smartphones, its internet speed depends on its WiFi connection and mobile data; its bandwidth is unstable. So, there is no exact difference in how long both devices had bandwidth. There are some broadband providers that are better than others and they can offer a faster internet connection. If considering a switch of providers, these spectrum internet prices may come in useful.
The mouse is considered part of the computer device. It is not an accessory but a vital part. Without the mouse, it would be difficult to move the cursor. This makes the difference between the two devices. Smartphones do not need a mouse for their customers to navigate. On the other hand, if older people and first-timers use a computer, it would be a hassle to use the mouse.
We, who are living in the technological world, prefer to have both devices in our homes. Most of us use smartphones for communicating purposes, while computers are needed for work-related outputs. Some, on the other hand, prefer smartphones, especially those with tight budgets. In this pandemic, where everyone needs to stay at home and work from home set-ups, there is a greater need for computers there. Even with both arguments running about which of the two devices can work most efficiently for us, we still must feel lucky to have them both to make our lives more comfortable.
